Morgan Hunt's branding hadn't changed since the company's entrance to the public sector recruitment market in 2001. It's logo, colours and the messaging behind the brand felt outdated. It didn't represent what the company truly stood for and wasn't relatable to their clients and candidates. It was time for a change.

Internal and external research revealed that purpose was a central theme to working and hiring in the public sector. Within Morgan Hunt, all members of staff felt proud to be helping people find jobs that contributed to communities and wider society. This insight led to a focus on how working with purpose is inspiring, to both the individual and to those around them.

Creative agency LEAP developed the new brand mark and visual identity. I then led the application of the new branding to all brand assets and marketing collateral.

A key part of the rebrand project was clarifying and redefining Morgan Hunt's mission. As a mostly public sector recruiter, placing people in jobs that contribute to communities and greater society has always been important to the company, its employees, their clients and their candidates.

We also identified that a key factor that leads to fulfilment at work is the feeling of contributing to something larger than yourself. In other words, having purpose. Morgan Hunt strives to place people in jobs within organisations where this is a reality and where people can be inspired whilst inspiring others.

As a result, Morgan Hunt's mission was changed from 'Fulfilling career and organisations’ aspirations with understanding and integrity' to 'Inspiring working lives', which also became Morgan Hunt's new tagline.

To communicate the new mission and tagline, I created the video below which was shared on social media as part of the brand launch campaign.

As the new brand would need to be applied to the website, it created the opportunity for a completely new design with more modern functionality.

The preceding website's user journey was outdated, making it hard for people to find the jobs they wanted. As a result, Morgan Hunt's traffic had been dropping every year. To fight this decline, we worked with a web development agency to build a custom recruitment focused website which could meet the company's candidate attraction, client attraction and data security needs.

I supported the planning, design and development of the website - using user experience and research of job search behaviour to inform the candidate journey and website functionaility. I supported the translation of Morgan Hunt's new brand into a format that could work online.

As well as being solely responsible for the successful launch of the website, I wrote content, built pages for the site, produced videos and ensured that the technical elements of the site, such as data migration and system integrations, ran smoothly.
